Bahraini Warda Saeed Habib Al Mohsin has obtained the Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in the United Kingdom.
Al-Mohsin's achievement raises the number of Bahraini winners of this advanced academic qualification to five, including two females, whereas the total number of FCII degree holders are 6,000 all over the world.
Al Mohsin is a chemical Engineer working for Hannover Re on underwriting department, the third Reinsurance Co. in the world.
Her dissertation was about renewable energy in the Middle East. The study focused on the effects of climate change on insurance, threats, the need to reduce gaseous emission, energy trends in Middle East, the need for renewable energy, challenges, solutions and the role of insurance and reinsurance companies.
Warda expressed her delight in the prestigious degree, and valued highly the kingdom of Bahrain's support to Bahraini youth to attain top academic achievements.
