A military aircraft loaded with 20 tons of school supplies for the children of Gaza in occupied Palestine took off Monday from Boufarik Airport (Blida) towards El Ismailia Airport (Egypt), at the initiative of the Algerian Medical Union (UMA).
This first convoy of 150,000 exercise books will be followed by other similar convoys, to reach one (01) million units which will be destined for the children of Gaza in coordination with the Palestinian authorities, said UMA’s President Djamel Ould Abbas.
Ould Abbas, who kicked off this solidarity operation alongside Palestine’s ambassador to Algeria Louai Aissa, also announced that there is another operation, under preparation, which will provide psychological aid by Algerian specialists for the children of Gaza, traumatized by the appalling events of the last Zionist aggression.
“Algeria will never stop providing support to the Palestinian people in all circumstances,” he added.
