Police said two students were dead and four others were injured in a shooting incident Friday morning at Marysville Pilchuck High School north of Seattle.
Authorities earlier confirmed that a lone shooter, a student of the school in Marysville, of the U.S. Northwest state of Washington, was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he opened fire on five other people in the school's cafeteria.
The four injured students were rushed to hospitals, three in critical condition.
The incident took place about 10:45 a.m. local time. Live video pictures from the scene showed students were escorted by police officers out from school buildings.
The school has some 2,500 students. The Marysville School District has posted a message on its website, announcing that students are being relocated to a community church, and school buses will send them home.
