The missing Emirati student, Yousuf Musabih Al Otoubi, 22, was finally located at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Dubai’s Rashid Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. Dubai Police confirmed that an unidentified young man who was at admitted at the hospital because of a road accident was later recognised as Yousuf. The news was also posted on Twitter by his brother, Jamal who uses the handle @JMusabih. “Found ! Rashid hospital!!!” tweeted his brother at approximately 1:30pm Tuesday. “He's in the intensive care! Thanks to twitter and all of you!” he posted minutes later. Gulf News learned from Dubai Police that the 22-year-old was admitted to hospital in critical condition three days ago after being hit by a car in the Dubai Mall area. Y.O remained a John Doe in the hospital for two days as he was unconscious upon arrival and no identification was found on him. He regained concisousness Tuesday and was therefore identified and his family was notified. “Y.O is in rashid hospital he was admitted through A&E,” said a Dubai Police official. “He was in an intoxicated state and walked in front of a car and got hit.”
