As part of the Education Ministry’s preparations for the new school year, 2013-2014, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Resources and Services Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa today paid inspection visits to a number of schools in which partial or comprehensive maintenance works were conducted during the summer holidays in order to get assured on their preparedness. A total of 41 schools have been covered by the Education Ministry’s maintenance plan for this year. Maintenance works, conducted in cooperation with the Works Ministry, included the provision of developed water and electricity networks, renewing air conditioners and repairing classrooms, libraries and labs. Shaikh Hesham, who was accompanied by the Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Resources and Services Sabri Abdulhadi, Services Director Khalid Al-Gharib and representatives of a number of directorates at Education and Works ministries, inspected maintenance works at the Sanabes Primary Boys School, Khawla Secondary Girls School, Abu Baker Al-SIddiq Primary Boys School, Abu Saibae Primary Boys School, Hajer Primary Girls School, Hamad Town Primary Boys School and West Riffa Intermediate Girls School. On the occasion, Shaikh Hesham stated that in line with the Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi’s directives, the Ministry is exerting tremendous efforts to make schools ready for the new school year through providing all the schools’ needs in order to upgrade the learning process and create suitable conditions for the students. He thanked the Works Ministry and all concerned directorates at the Rducation Ministry for their efforts to maintain schools so as to ensure a successful school year.
