Information and communications technologies are at the heart of education quality which is a top priority for the education system reform, said, on Wednesday in Casablanca, Omar Azziman, the King’s advisor and president delegate of the Higher Council for Education. Speaking at a symposium on “E-education, Tomorrow’s school,” Azziman said that Morocco is about to undertake an important reform of its education system, deeming necessary to start by generalization, teachers’ training and governance. The education sector, in which the public authorities take a special interest, has a major flaw in terms of the quality of education, said Azziman, stressing the need to develop multimedia educational tools to keep students interested. For his part, national education minister Rachid Belmokhtar underlined that it is high time to generalize and spread information and communications technologies and integrate them in the education and training system.
