The Ministry of Education (MOE)'s Directorate of Student Services organized a series of training workshops for intermediate school students themed (The Art of Journalism Writing for Intermediate Schools) presented by Oqail Al-Sayed the head of school clubs and journalism and Raed Mohammed Ibrahim senior specialist in the Directorate at several schools in the various governorates and attended by 300 students. The workshops included the basics of the art of writing for the press aimed to prepare capable media generation, investing in school media groups, the student media centre and taught students various phases in the history of newspapers and journalism in Bahrain. Students were trained on techniques of creative writing of news stories, articles, interviews, reports, etc. The workshop was accompanied with appraisal of students' writings. Raed Mohammed Ibrahim said that the objective behind the workshop was to patronize talented students, train them on writing for newspapers, develop their skills, boost their capabilities, introduce to them the techniques of journalism and news stories and to encourage them to edit news of their schools and post them in school bulletins and e-magazines affiliated to the Ministry of Education.
