A number of journalists and media representatives in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the occasion of the convening of the 33rd GCC Summit paid a visit to the National Charter's Edifice, where they were received by Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nu'aimi accompanied with Ms. Khawla Al-Muhannadi the general directress of the Edifice and Dr. Mohammed Al-'Aseeri the director of the King Hamad Digital Library project. During the visit, the Minister of Education briefed the guests about this edifice which includes the names of all voters who voted with an absolute majority of 98.4% in favor of the National Action Charter in 2001. The Minister who accompanied the media delegations during their tour of the edifice explained that this urban edifice under the supervision of the Ministry of Education aims to commemorate the ratification of the National Action Charter and to portray the Kingdom of Bahrain's civilized heritage and to document the contributions of the people of Bahrain in building the community and consolidating the foundations of national unity. The Minister of Education revealed that the Ministry avails of this edifice in boosting the culture of citizenship and belonging in students. On the other hand, Ms. Khawla Al-Muhannadi the directress of the National Action Charter's Edifice explained that this edifice contributes in offering cultural and intellectual programs and activities aimed to promote national culture and encourage creative cultural concepts nationwide. Also, Dr. Mohammed Al-Aseeri the director of the King Hamad Digital Library project made a presentation on the library project incorporated in the edifice as part of constructive goals to boost knowledge accessibility to researchers and students in the Kingdom of Bahrain with prestigious international academic centers, universities and libraries all over the world. The guest journalists and media representatives thanked the Minister of Education and praised the concept of the National Action Charter's Edifice for its patriotic symbolism, and its content of visions, concepts and benefits for IT and Telecommunications in introducing shared denominations.
