Secretary General of the Education Ministry, Sattam Awad, met with a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education of Iraq's Kurdistan region on Tuesday to discuss forging closer educational cooperation between the two countries. Awad stressed Jordan's willingness to jointly cooperate with Iraq in educational fields. Jordan, he said, looks forward to a new phase of cooperation in education with Iraq through the exchange of expertise and programs to serve educational institutions in both countries. Also, Awad briefed the Iraqi delegation on Jordan's educational strategy, educational programs and future plans. The delegation praised the Kingdom's accomplishments in education and voiced interest in learning from Jordan's expertise in education. During their three-day visit to Jordan, members of the Iraqi delegation will visit a number of schools in the capital, Amman.
