The largest number of Emirati students from INSEAD have graduated from the third GEMBA intake programme in Abu Dhabi. With three full campuses in Singapore, France and Abu Dhabi, INSEAD is one of the largest Executive Education providers in the world. The graduation ceremony, held in Singapore, was attended by various local dignitaries. including Ambassador Mohammed Ahmed Al Qubaisi, the U.A.E.'s Ambassador to Singapore. The number of Emirati graduates reflects the growing participation of Emiratis at INSEAD in Abu Dhabi, both in degree and executive education programmes. In the last three years, there has been an average of 35% Emirati participation within INSEAD's executive education programmes in both the private and public sector. Dean of INSEAD, Professor Ilian Mihov, said, "INSEAD is honoured by the continuing collaboration with the Abu Dhabi leadership, and gratified to see its results in the development of top talent in global management, a key step towards achieving the 2030 vision". Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director-General at the Abu Dhabi Education Council, congratulated the graduates on their efforts and hard work and lauded INSEAD's continuous support in providing elite business programmes for its students. "ADEC is proud to be affiliated with such an elite leading business school such as INSEAD and are very proud to see that our Emirati youth are eager to further develop their qualifications in line with Abu Dhabi's 2030 vision to develop human capital and keep up with global competitiveness. "These graduates set a good example for other Emirati's who wish to excel and improve their status, and is a great sign towards turning Abu Dhabi into one of the world's leading educational hubs." Nabil Al Messabi, Head of Advisory Services at the Tourism Development and Investment Company, TDIC, Abu Dhabi, was among those graduating. He said, "The experience of learning at INSEAD extends beyond the academic offerings to a more holistic life experience that combines quality education with a diverse mix of participants and in three beautiful campuses located in key internationally unique economic regions, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. "The effect of the GEMBA programme has been almost immediate after each key module, leaving me equipped with practical application of theory and related case studies, while also feeling encouraged to discuss the same within the context of our own industries and organisations." "We hope to use all the business tools and leadership values gained through INSEAD to develop our nation to become an even more important key player in the arena of original and innovative economic growth. That's the least we can give back to the nation and our leaders for making quality education a national priority," said Al Messabi. Miguel Lobo, Associate Professor of Decision Sciences, Director of the Abu Dhabi Campus said: "It's rewarding to see Emirati participants graduate with one of the highest quality and most selective Executive MBA classes in the world, and I am proud of the contribution that INSEAD Abu Dhabi campus is making towards the development of the country's talent, leadership, and competitive position as a global business hub."
