HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), said the education and human resource development are key enablers to deliver the future vision for Sharjah community. Speaking at commencement ceremony of the first cohort of 14t batch of the UoS, Sheikh Sultan added that the future vision for Sharjah were at the heart of his thinking since years and had been envisaged following exhaustive studies and in-depth plans. He asserted that resources had been secured to realise that vision. '' Graduates of today and those of previous years generate the increasing returns from investment in building qualified Emirati human resources who will contribute in driving our communities towards growth, development, progress and welfare,'' he said. Sheikh Sultan announced that as of Sunday free of charge internet services will be offered to faculty, administrators, students and visitors of Sharjah University City. The event, held at Sharjah University City Hall, was attended by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, a number of Sheikhs, senior local officials, teaching and administrative staff and parents of graduates. The 14th batch comprised 873 graduates, 473 males and 400 females.
