A delegation of 24 media persons from 21 countries paid a visit to the old building of Al Hidaya Al Khalifia Boys Secondary School where they listened to a briefing on the history of regular education in Bahrain dating back to 1919. They were also informed about educational publications on the national initiatives to upgrade education and training, teach human rights curricula and integrate students with special needs. They lauded Bahrain's efforts to provide education for all for more than 90 years and develop it by utilizing technology in this field. The visit also included a lecture on the national initiatives to develop education and training which was held at the Gifted Students Care Centre. It is to note that the visit was organised through coordination between the Education Ministry and the Good Word Society which hosted the delegation as part of "Discover Bahrain" campaign.
