London Mayor Boris Johnson failed a live IQ test on the radio in his first public appearance since he mocked those with low intelligence in a speech last week. Johnson failed two of the IQ questions and refused to answer a third during the 45-minute test, The Guardian reported. "No one said IQ is the only measure of ability," he said after stopping the test. For the second question, Johnson was asked: "Take two apples from three apples and what do you have?" Johnson said "loads of apples," and then changed his answer to one apple, but the correct answer was two. The test came after Johnson suggested in a speech that some people struggle to move on in life because of their low IQs. "The harder you shake the pack the easier it will be for some cornflakes to get to the top," he said last week. During Monday's radio test, Johnson said his comments had been misconstrued and that he was only noting the growth of inequality, the Guardian reported. "There is too much inequality," he said. "My speech was actually a warning against letting inequality go unchecked."
