The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) announced its intention to organize a workshop under the title (Developing Young Leadership) at 10:00 am on Saturday 26th January 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The workshop comes as part of the program to boost the integrated culture of democracy announced and launched by BIPD in April 2012. The workshop will be presented by University of Cairo political sociology and development professor, Dr. Amani Massoud, Ph.D., who has made a lot of contributions in teaching, research and academics in Egyptian and overseas universities and discussed numerous masters' and doctoral thesis. She has also partook in many training courses, workshops inside Egypt and abroad. The workshop will discuss a number of themes, most importantly, introducing the concept of leadership, its types and skills. The lecturer will review successful leadership traits, the role of leadership in development and the community, and the role of institutions in producing leaders. The workshop also includes practical training for the participants. More than 200 participants will participate in the workshop in order to develop leadership traits and boost the culture of democracy. The outcomes of this workshop will reflect positively on the entire community in the future. The BIPD's Executive Director, Dr. Isa Ahmed Al-Khayyat revealed the Institute will also organize another workshop in February 2013 on (the role of the media in political upbringing) which will be presented by an Arab political media expert.
