Under the patronage of the Minister of Transportation, and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (EDB) Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, the graduation ceremony of the first session of national civil aviation instructors was held in Gulf Aviation Academy(GAA) under the supervision of the International Civil Aviation Organisation(ICAO). The operating companies at the Bahrain International Airport and security officials with coordination with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the airport security, also took part in the event. Acting Undersecretary of Civil Aviation Affairs Mr. Ahmed Al-Nemah expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of Transportation for his interest in creating and rehabilitating national cadres in the field of aviation. He praised the graduates’ efforts to pass the course successfully and keenness to be qualified trainers and teachers for the Bahraini cadres who wish to specialise in the aviation security field, especially after ICAO members' approval of Bahrain's hosting of the headquarters of the Regional Civil Aviation Security Centre in the Middle East. He also commended the good efforts of ICAO to provide a modern scientific method for the course, which gained the interest of the international community because of its importance in ensuring the security and stability of the aviation industry in the world.
