The board of trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Endowment (Waqf) has today convened for its third meeting. Education Minister and Board of Trustees Deputy Chairman Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi chaired the session at the Isa Cultural Centre in Manama, in the presence of board members and secretary-general. The board members extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier and board of trustees’ chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa marking the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. They wished the Kingdom of Bahrain, its wise leadership and loyal people further progress and prosperity and stability. The session discussed proposed legal work procedures, investments in human resources and the legal regulation and registration of donations. The panel discussed the provision of support for students desiring to benefit from the endowment and spotlighted eligibility criteria for scholarships. Scholarship recipients and selected universities will be announced soon, along with the sponsoring parties. The scholarship programme includes Bahrain Polytechnic, the Royal University for Women (RUW), in addition to three scholarships to enroll at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - Medical University of Bahrain.
