Education Minister Humaid Al Qattami said the culture of excellence has led the UAE to podiums of honour and made it to occupy the first ranks, thanks to the wise development policies of the UAE leadership. The minister made the remarks here Tuesday, while announcing the programme of the Ministry of Education Excellence Programme and Emirates Educational Excellence Award to make the education sector an incubator for innovation and creativity. Fatima Mohammed Bu Ali, a teacher, who recently received the Order of Prime Minister for new excellent employees and the team work who prepared the file of the ministry for Emirates Government Excellence Award, were honoured in the ceremony. Al Qattami reiterated that the UAE under President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan “is the incubator for quality”, and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has been leading the excellence policy and total quality to upgrade work programmes. “Should we seek the excellence process, we will not find other than the excellence legacy outlined by the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan”, Al Qattami said. He hailed Bu Ali on winning the order, indicating that the order “is a feather in the cap of educators, and reflects the value of the environment, where she embraced the excellence and creativity”, Al Qattami was referring to Al Manar Model School and its Director Ayesha Al Mutawa. The minister also thanked the work team that prepared the file of the ministry in the contest of Emirates Government Excellence Award.
