Mondo TV is to become the exclusive agent for broadcast rights sales of Turner Broadcasting's children's TV library in certain Middle East and North Africa markets over the coming three years. The deal, which covers both free to air and pay-TV rights sales, allows Italy's Mondo TV to sub license a total of 581 programming hours of popular shows - which include Ben 10 and Generator Rex. "Mondo TV is very satisfied by this deal which will allow our company to further expand in the Middle East TV market by representing one of the most interesting library of cartoon series which include some of the most famous and successful properties worldwide, said Orlando Corradi, chief executive, Mondo TV. Alan Musa, vice president and general manager, Middle East, Africa and pan region, Turner Broadcasting added: "We are delighted to be working with Mondo TV on this deal. Our programmes already have a dedicated fan base across the world and this will give even more families the opportunity to enjoy our shows". Turner's Cartoon Network Arabia has been available free to air via Arabsat and Nilesat in the Middle East and North Africa since October 2010. Its pre-school 'Cartoonito' block has, since September 2011, also introduced Turner's animated TV shows Bananas in Pyjamas, Jelly Jamm, and Baby Looney Tunes to children in the region.
