Fox TV series "MasterChef" is the latest competitive cooking show to take its chefs to the high seas in a new cruise that will allow fans to meet their favorite cheftestants.
After the success of Bravo’s Top Chef cruises, MasterChef has likewise created a cruise itinerary that will set sail to the Caribbean in November. Programs include cooking challenges, cocktail parties, meet and greets and cooking demonstrations.
Participating chefs include Christine Ha, Graham Elliot, Luca Manfe, Becky Reams and Bri Kozior.
Aspiring chef guests can show their cooking chops in a macaroni and cheese cook-off judged by Ha, learn how to make homemade pasta with Manfe, and test their taste buds with Michelin-starred chef and MasterChef judge Elliot.
The cruise, operated by Holland America, will culminate in another cooking showdown between chefs, this time for the title of MasterChef Cruise Champion.
After selling out of its Top Chef cruises, first launched last year, Celebrity Cruises has launched another season of Top Chef at Sea with trips to Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean.
The MasterChef Cruise sets off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with ports of call in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos, San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands and Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.
Fares for the seven-night cruise begin at $1,442 per person.
