French international news channel France 24 has expanded its distribution in the first quarter of 2012, gaining 10 million households since the end of 2011. The channel is now currently available in 245 million homes worldwide including 117 million homes in Europe. Recent broadcasting agreements have been signed on this continent with Italy’s Canale Italia, Spain’s R Telecom’s IPTV, cable and mobile TV offer, Finland’s Elisa, or Russia’s Intercom. The channel also announced on Monday it concluded a distribution agreement in Asia to launch on IPTV Telekom Malaysia offer Hypp TV. France 24 ‘s French version is now available “à-la-carte” for 20 Ringgits per month (€6.50).
