HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, today visited the Dubai-based MBC Group's Drama Production Studios, a state-of-the-art facility in Dubai Studio City. Sheikh Hamdan was welcomed upon arrival by Chairman and CEO of MBC Groups, Sheikh Waleed Al Brahim, and other senior MBC officials. He was accompanied by Sheikh Saeed bin Juma Al Maktoum, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court. He viewed a presentation on MBC's major TV productions made in Dubai. The show featured a series of dazzling scenes and shots of Dubai's landmarks made by highly advanced technology used for the first time in Dubai and the world. Ali Jaber, Director General of MBC, in the presentation on MBC's state-of-the-art production facility, said the studio will contribute to turning Dubai into the capital of the East for drama and cinema production. He noted that MBC Group moved all its drama production actitivities from London, Cairo and London to Dubai. Following the show, H.H Sheikh Hamdan toured the production facilities, the largest and the most advanced in the Middle East, in terms of area and technology. The said facilities run on an area of fifty thousand square feet. He also inspected the technologies and the various components used in the studios. Sheikh Hamdan expressed satisfaction over the great production capabilities available at Dubai Studio City and described them as a new addition to the multi-faceted achievements made by the UAE and as a part of the interests of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in art and artists. He also praised MBC's decision to move its TV production to Dubai and said it reflected the sincere loyalty of its Chairman, CEO and owner, Sheikh Waleed Al Brahim, to his Arab nationalism and identity.
