The website of Al-Kass and Al-Dowri channel was announced as the winner of the websites Coverage contest Award for the outgoing 12th Arab Games 2011 took place in Doha, announced AG organisers on Saturday. This win braced Al-Kass website to get a handsome prize money reaches QR 20,000 for being selected as the best website that provided a distinctive coverage during the Games. Prior the event’s kick –off, AGOC set a series of conditions for the applicants stating that any participating website should publish AG logo on its main page, allocate special section for AG news and to perform live coverage on AG competitions. AGOC also stated that any website must conduct daily interviews with players and officials, update medals tally of participating teams, as well as to publish video clips, significant events and photos during AG. In compliance with the media conduct regulation, any website engaged in the contest will mention the resource name in any news taken from other media body, also to avoid harm to any country, character or entity during the coverage.
