President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday met with members of the specialized council for economic development to review its latest activities since its recent meeting with the president in April, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
The spokesman said Sisi listened to proposals of the specialized council on some amendments to draft laws and statutes in coordination with the ministries concerned.
Sisi ordered the government to study the delay in the application of fuel smart cards till it includes all sectors of the state.
The president also reviewed some projects to be carried out in the coming phase, especially the operation of 1,000 factories in New Cairo. The Ministry of Housing will be assigned to accomplish the infrastructure for such projects before June 30.
He also reviewed initiatives launched by a number of state foundations to support the small and medium-scale projects
