As has been happening in recent months, February saw a new record for television consumption in Spain, confirming a trend that seems unstoppable. With an average of 267 minutes per person per day (4 hours and 27 minutes), February's viewing figures surpassed those of January, the previous record, by three minutes. In terms of ratings, for the sixth consecutive month TVE La 1 took first place, with an average share of 14.1%. In second place was Mediaset's Telecinco (13.7%) and third was Grupo Planeta's Antena 3 TV (12.2%). Regarding the most-watched broadcasts, football was undoubtedly the king of the TV in February, with the Champions League match between Bayer Leverkusen and Barcelona gaining the highest viewing figures.
