Postman Pat, a much-loved British cartoon character, is being given a helping hand to make it big on a movie screen by RGH Entertainment, part of the Jordan headquartered Rubicon Group Holding and which has an office in Dubai. This follows an agreement entered into by Classic Media, which counts Casper and Lassie in its repertoire - with RGH Entertainment.Postman Pat: The Movie — You Know You're the One is in pre-production and is scheduled to hit global screens in spring 2013. The "names" roped in to provide the voices are Stephen Mangan (as Postman Pat), Jim Broadbent, Rupert Grint and David Tennant (of Harry Potter) among other notable performances. RGH Entertainment is leading the production at its studios in Los Angeles, Amman and Manila, while the RGH Group CEO, Randa Ayoubi, will be an executive producer in the venture. The production costs of the film — which will be shot in 3-D stereoscopic — have not been disclosed.The only other major partners in the project that have been announced are Timeless Films, which will manage the worldwide sales, and Icon Film Distribution, which will release the film in the UK and Ireland. The release will coincide with the 30th anniversary of Postman Pat's creation.
