Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim and Da Brat reunited Sunday for a performance of their 1997 hit "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)" at the Soul Train Awards.
The performance marked the first time the rappers took the stage together in over a decade. Eric Benet kicked off the show with a short introduction and was shortly followed by Lil' Kim.
Later, a clip from TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes' verse, appeared on the screen. She passed away in 2002. Lil' Kim and Elliott then joined the stage followed by Total, MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, and Yo-Yo, who helped the trio celebrate Ladies Night. Angie Martinez, who appeared in the original track, was not present for the performance.
Elliott posted on Twitter after the show aired to thank the fans and remember Lopes.
I speak 4 my sistas @Lilkim @ONLY1BRAT we truly thank y'all 4 the & we truly miss LeftEye she will always be a gem! — Missy Elliott (@MissyElliott) December 1, 2014
The MCs' collaboration was announced in late October.
