Lady Gaga will play a hotel owner on FX series American Horror Story: Hotel.
Series creator Ryan Murphy revealed the news at the TCA summer press tour Friday. Murphy previously disclosed the 29-year-old singer will play an "evil" character on season 5 of the horror anthology show.
"Her character's name is Elizabeth," he shared. "She is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people, and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode and plays out over the course of the season."
Murphy confirmed Lady Gaga will have a love triangle with Finn Wittrock and Matt Bomer, and revealed she will also be involved with Cheyenne Jackson and Angela Bassett. "She's a busy lady," he said of the character's many relationships.
Wittrock will portray a male model named Tristan, with Matt Bomer as a Elizabeth's associate Donovan. Jackson will play "desperate" father and fashion icon Will, while Bassett will share a "very strong, real, lasting relationship" with Elizabeth as "fabulous actress" Ramona.
In addition, Sarah Paulson will portray a drug addict who "happens to be quite sexy," with Kathy Bates as hotel manager Iris, Wes Bentley as the detective John, Chloe Sevigny as John's wife Alex and Denis O'Hare as a movie icon and hotel bartender named Liz Taylor.
American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere Oct. 7. Many of the stars, such as Paulson, Bassett and Bates, have appeared on previous seasons of American Horror Story, which include Murder House, Asylum, Coven and Freak Show.
