The Director General of the National Assembly TV channel, Almajlis, Abdulhakim Al-Sabti stated Monday the channel's editorial policy goes in harmony with the Kuwait's foreign policy and the channel's board is keen on serving the State higher interests.
National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim was very clear since the launch of the channel on the need to adopt an objective editorial line, Al-Sabti told KUNA.
He added that Al-Ghanim also eyed a significant role for the channel in serving Kuwait's relations and higher interests in accordance with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's vision.
Despite its independence, the channel's editorial policy takes care of the different aspects and dimensions of the State's relations with the Gulf, Arab and other world countries, Al-Sabti clarified.
He noted that the Almajlis channel would forge ahead with its mission of conveying to the world the Kuwaiti people's sincere appreciation and love to all sisterly and friendly countries and their leaders, especially the Arab Gulf ones.
Al-Sabti noted that the channel has canceled all its programs in the past days to observe the three-day mourning declared by the State Friday after the demise of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud as well as to provide a special coverage to Saudi king's death related developments.
