Jenny McCarthy thinks The View will be canceled within a year.
The 42-year-old television personality said as much in an interview with the New York Daily News this week. McCarthy co-hosted the ABC daytime talk show for one season in 2013, and told the publication producers should choose a formula and stick to it.
"I only say that [it will be canceled] if they don't stick to that idea -- which is to allow something to simmer rather than transitioning so many different things," she related. "It's like a serial dater. Stick with one boyfriend and don't go on Tinder."
"They don't allow anything to kind of simmer," she elaborated. "If it doesn't boil quick, you're out. I feel like they're not allowing anything to grow. They want instant gratification. So they're very scattered and until they kind of commit to an idea, I think they're going to have problems."
McCarthy admitted series creator and former co-host Barbara Walters' departure left a serious void, but believes new audiences will grow with the panelists who remain on the show. She finished by wishing the program well, saying she hopes it will "continue, transform and keep going."
McCarthy established her own radio show, Dirty, Sexy, Funny, after she left The View, and currently broadcasts on Sirius XM. In addition, the television personality and husband Donnie Wahlberg recently appeared on the debut season of A&E reality series Donnie Loves Jenny.
