Television presenter Farah Fareed said that several female supporters of ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi attacked her in front of her house in 6th of October City. Speaking to Arab Today, Fareed said that she was expecting retaliation for hosting anti-Muslim Brotherhood politicians on her show. Freed had hosted the figures in defiance of an order issued by Egypt's former Minister of Information Salah abdel-Maksoud. The presenter explained that her attackers were veiled and had threatened her. Freed reported the incident to the police, and accused the former minister of information of pulling the plug on a number of episodes of her programme.
