The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) organised, in cooperation with Salman Cultural Centre of the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry, “an Engineer in our House” programme. The event was held at the centre for enhancing Bahraini women’s capabilities “Riyadat” as part of associated activities with Bahraini Women’s Day 2017 celebrations held under the slogan “Women in the Engineering Field”.
The programme aims to inform the participants about the basics of engineering by understanding two and three-dimension pictures and applying them practically when assembling and fixing products. It also highlights ways of using renewable energy sources in alternative engineering.
Salman Cultural Centre sheds light on some sustainable development goals which aim to use clean and renewable energy found in our daily life and raise awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and reduce consumption of fossil fuel in the long run.
