Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc attended the inauguration ceremony of a studio of Turkey's state-run television and radio network, TRT, in Cologne. Speaking at a press conference after the ceremony on the last day of his four-day visit in Germany, Arinc called on the Turkish community to learn both Turkish and German languages very well while at the same time preserve their identities. Arinc later visited the construction site of a mosque being built by the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs in Cologne. The Turkish deputy premier also paid a visit to the headquarters of the Union of European Turkish Democrats. Arinc later departed for Turkey.
