Renowned British actor Alan Rickman gleefully admonished Jimmy Fallon for doing an impression of him on-air, then they both sucked helium from balloons and continued their chat on The Tonight Show.
A video clip of the exchange has gotten nearly 1.4 million views on YouTube since it was posted Thursday.
Rickman, who is best-known for his menacing roles in Die Hard, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and the Harry Potter film franchise, called out Fallon for having a "Rickman-off" impression contest with guest Benedict Cumberbatch on a previous episode of the show.
"It's a famous game people play," Fallon insisted before taking a gulp of helium from a balloon and telling Rickman in a high-pitched voice: "I'm very sorry you were offended. Very sorry. And welcome to the show."
Rickman inhaled from his own balloon and replied, "Apology accepted."
Fallon then went on to ask the actor additional questions in his silly voice, which Rickman gamely answered in his own altered accent.
