The general commission of the Federation of the Arab News Agencies (FANA) held here today its meeting under the chairmanship of Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and FANA Chairman.
In his speech during the opening session, the SPA president expressed thanks to Bahraini Commission for Media Affairs and Muhanad bin Suleiman Al-Naimi, Director General of Bahrain News Agency (BNA), on the warm hospitality and good preparations and organization of this meeting, wishing Bahrain steady progress and prosperity under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
"During the 4th FANA General Assembly meeting held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on last November, we reached a number of important decisions and recommendations. We work together with cooperation of all members and coordination with the FANA Secretariat General to implement these decisions. We meet here today to continue our hard and fruitful work," Al-Hussain added.
He added that FANA achieved many tangible accomplishments under this federation at the level of joint cooperation and keeping pace with the enormous media revolution and rapid development in the technology of communication and exchange of information.
