The Jordan News Agency (Petra) is participating in the 42nd Annual General Assembly of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) that kicked off here on Monday.
The two-day meeting will discuss the role of the state agencies in delivering news and their competition with other news agencies.
Petra Director General Faisal Shboul chaired a panel discussion, focused on ethics and efficiency at news agencies, which was attended by media persons, ambassadors, students of the media at Bahrain University and others.
Participants discussed the importance of ethics, truth, accuracy, neutrality and objectivity in news coverage.
