Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Press and Publication in the Ministry of Information Lulua Al-Salem said here on Thursday that by virtue of a decision to dissolve one of the firms that owns a newspaper and a number of magazines and in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of the Press and Publications Law No. 3 of 2006, the Ministry of Information has canceled the license granted to that newspaper and its affiliate magazines.
Al-Salem stressed, in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the ministry's keenness to apply the law while emphasizing on freedom of publication and expression guaranteed by the Kuwaiti constitution and organized by the Press and Publication Law.
