The Journalists' Syndicate said it will stage a march to downtown Cairo's Tahrir square on Friday to condemn attacks targeting journalists and media people. In a statement on Thursday, the syndicate said the march aims at calling for retribution for the "martyr of the press" El-Husseini Abu-Deif of Al-Fagr newspaper, who was injured while covering clashes at the Ittihadiya presidential palace last week and succumbed to his injuries. Among the participants in the march will be board members of the syndicate, senior journalists, writers and a number of national figures .
