Minister of Communication, Hamid Grine, reaffirmed Wednesday in Algiers that his roadmap remains the professionalism such contained in the message of president of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, last 3 May on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day. "My roadmap is simple and clear. It will follow the orientations of President of the Republic included in his 3 May message to the press," Grine said, while noting that "these orientations focus on one word, professionalize the national press." Speaking to the National radio, Grine explained that the professionalization goes through setting up regulation bodies, chiefly the Regulation Authority of the Audiovisual Activity, that of the written press but also the Ethics and Deontology Council. He asserted that there is "no distinction" between the public and private press, adding that there is "only one press: It is national and professional." "I will militate for the installation, as soon as possible, of the regulation bodies to stop the confusion between information and defamation," he ensured, putting stress on the professionalism.
