Amanda Bynes made a rare public appearance Thursday night in LA when she attended designer Michael Costello's and Style PR's 2015 pre-fall capsule collection fashion show.
The actress turned fashion student made her debut in a snug fitting white mesh dress while donning a pair of black sunglasses.
Bynes was escorted by a tattooed male who guided the She's the Man actress into the building upon her arrival.
"It's unclear whether it was a bodyguard or a boyfriend," Yahoo reported.
While leaving the venue Bynes was all smiles as hopped into the passenger seat of a vehicle with a lady friend.
The troubled actress said sweet farewells and "thank you" as she pulled off from the crowd of onlookers and paparazzi, "looking like the Amanda we watched grow up," Yahoo said.
The last time Bynes was seen was in June, where she was spotted at Criag's eatery in West Hollywood. Prior to that, the Hairspray actress was MIA for three months. Her last red carpet appearance being the MTV Movie Awards in 2011.
Bynes' attorney, David Esquibias, told US magazine in June that the star has been "doing great" after the cascade of turmoil she went through including being diagnosed with bipolar disorder (Bynes later denied that she suffered from any mental issues).
Esquibias added that "she appreciates all of the love and support she received from her family, friends, and fans."
