Iranian and Belarusian officials underlined the need for the further expansion of media cooperation between Tehran and Minsk.Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast and his Belarusian counterpart Andrei Savinykh made the remarks in a meeting in Minsk on Friday.During the meeting, Mehman-Parast pointed to the close relations between Tehran and Minsk, and voiced Iran's readiness to exchange media delegation with Belarus and open media representative bureau in Minsk.The Belarusian diplomat, for his part, stressed the need for expansion of bilateral media cooperation between Iran and Belarus while welcoming Mehman-Parast's proposalsTehran and Minsk have in recent months increased efforts to start a jump in mutual cooperation.Iran and Belarus have recently widened their areas of economic cooperation. The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on road transportation cooperation in March 2012.The two countries also announced in March 2012 that they plan to establish a join trading company to help expand their bilateral ties and exchanges.
