The Board Chairman and Director-General of KUNA Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah Wednesday held talks with the Chairman of Media in Cooperation and Transition (MICT) Klaas Glenewinkel, discussing ways of boosting cooperation between the two media institutions. During the meeting here, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij expressed his keenness to provide all possibilities to increase the efficiency of KUNA's correspondents abroad to help them keep up to speed with global events at a time when there is acute competition among news purveyors worldwide.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij discussed ways of benefiting from MICT's experience in training journalists to help them follow the latest developments in all media, including print journalism and photography.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij underscored the imperative for KUNA to show the positive image of Kuwait abroad and its distinguished role in achieving peace in the region, noting this will be in favor of serving national objectives of Kuwait and its foreign policy.
For his part, Glenewinkel expressed his readiness to cooperate with KUNA through organizing training programs for KUNA employees to benefit from the state-of-art technology of MICT.
MICT is the largest media corporation in Germany in journalist-training for the Arab region. It aims at developing capabilities of young journalists in the Middle East and North Africa. MICT also seeks to provide support to Arab journalists as the Arab region is currently convulsed with socio-political crises.
