The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) launched the audio news service, providing a daily compilation of headlines and brief news summaries on the latest local, Arab and international events. The service is accessible through landlines by dialing 9567 and mobile phones by dialing 011-9567. SANA also added video services to its website, in addition to adding news on urgent events via MMS services along with its SMS services which are available in Arabic, English and French. SANA's mobile website has also gone live at http://sana.sy/wap/ A new website is currently in the work, which will include a special section for interacting with Syrian expatriates across the world. SANA's current website provides news and photo services in seven languages: Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Turkish.
