The National Media Council (NMC) hosted at its Dubai offices today a workshop on the media role in highlighting and developing women's capabilities.
The workshop, organised by the Child and Women Protection Section at the Dubai Police’s Human Rights Department, discussed media handling of child protection and addressing domestic violence.
The workshop also featured a lecture by Reem Jamal Obaidat, an expert in mass communication and media, in which she said the UAE women had proven their abilities in shouldering their responsibilities and in maintaining a work-family balance.
The workshop also tackled the impact of internet and electronic games on children.
