In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, issued Decree No.18 of 2015 assigning Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office Mona Al Marri to supervise Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI)'s publishing sector, in addition to her previous responsibilities.
According to the decree, which is effective from 27th December 2015, the DMI Chairman will issue the resolution required to implement the articles of this decree.
Mona Al Marri expressed her sincere appreciation for the confidence that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed has placed in her. She said that the role assigned to her is a major responsibility, which she will seek to fulfil in the best way possible, maintaining the highest professional standards of ethics, integrity and transparency.
DMI's publishing sector includes the Arabic daily newspapers Al Bayan and Emarat Al Youm and the English-language news website Emirates 24/7
