The Government's official spokesperson also Minister of State for Information Affair, Mrs. Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab, has applauded the role of specialized national media, technical and technology cadres who constitute the sinews of media development and a genuine national wealth in portraying the Kingdom's ongoing development and reformation accomplishments at home and abroad. The Minister visited the Ras Hayyan Transmission and Relay Station as part of her continual follow up of workflow in the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) since she has been assigned to oversee the IAA and stated that to boost national media cadres comes at the forefront of her priorities, emanating from the belief in investing in the human element which is a solid pillar to upgrade the media discourse and its capacity to affect the spreading of community awareness and to convey true facts both transparently and competitively. The Minister, during her first visit to the station outside the IAA complex, expressed her appreciation towards hard efforts being exerted by all staff members including engineers, technicians and workers who work long hours under highly demanding conditions and described them as "unknown soldiers" who have contributed into the progressive march of Bahraini media and who deserve all our gratitude and compliments on their loyal patriotic deeds. The Minister revealed an integrated media plan laid down to prepare and qualify national media cadres engaging them in specialized training courses and ameliorating their working conditions and considered them as the voice of truthness in the face of misleading hostile media campaigns, allegations and lies intended to tarnish the Kingdom of Bahrain's accomplishments. The Minister accentuated her attention to consolidating the bonds of partnership between the media and press institutions to ensure compliance with professional ethics and to ensure responsible freedom and observe the interest of the nation and its citizens and asserted her challenging of any provocative calls to violence, terrorism, chaos, hatred, sectarian strife over various channels of the mass media. The Minister highlighted cooperation between various media departments in all state authorities and institutions and coordination with Bahraini embassies abroad which gains significant importance in depicting true facts and showcasing the feats accomplished at various regional and international functions and responding to falsifications and distorted information propaganda by some foreign media channels and organizations.
