Palestinian powers, factions and figures in Syria convened Sunday the “Loyalty to Gaza” forum at the Palestinian National Council based in Damascus.
Secretary of the Palestinian Revolution Factions Alliance Khaled Abdul-Majid said the Palestinian people in Gaza are “writing down their brilliant future in the records of the Arab nation by confronting a belligerent enemy which is waging a disproportionate war against them.”
The Israeli war against Gaza has shifted the balance of power with the Israeli enemy, by widening the reach of the Palestinian rockets launched against Israel that are now raining down on the Zionist settlements in Tel Aviv, Haifa and beyond, Abdul-Majid stated.
He urged the Arab and national parties and powers to take to the streets to denounce the aggression, slamming Arab silence over the Israeli atrocities.
He points out that “the Israeli political, military and intelligence circles have been thrown into confusion as an indication of fiasco and inability to break the will of the Palestinian resistance.”
Despite their own festering wounds due to the attacks of terrorists, says the Palestinian official, the Palestinians in Syria continue to empathize with the people of Gaza and declare their commitment to the path of resistance in their struggle to retrieve the Palestinians’ rights.
Assistant Secretary of Fatah al-Intifada movement Abu Fakher, for his part, said that protracted Israeli occupation left the will of the Palestinian people intact, seeing that repeated aggressions against the Palestinians are designed to delude the Israeli public that into believing that Israel can defeat the Palestinian resistance “that has stricken horror in the heart of the Israelis.”
Gaza is fully prepared to counter the aggression and will continue to strike the Israeli settlements with full force, said Abu Mujahed, of the Islamic Jihad resistance group.
