Director of the Central Statistical Bureau (CNB) in Kuwait Mariam Al-Aqeel said that the 46th session of the UN statistical commission discussed the development of international statistical standards, concepts and methods at the national and international levels.
This came in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) at the end of the 46th session of the UN statistical commission which lasted four days and saw workshops on statistical work and various meetings.
She said the final day saw a range of important projects which have been approved, adding that the commission looked into a draft provisional agenda of its 47th session together with some documents.
She explained that the meeting also discussed a range of important topics pertinent to international statistical activities with the participation of senior statistical experts from UN member countries from all over the world.
