Kuwait Environment Protection Society said it pays great attention towards participating in international and GCC environmental media events to benefit from the latest developments in the field.
The society is participating in the 34th edition of the Dubai 2014 Gitex convention and expo, which kicked of last Sunday, and is set to conclude on October 16, Chairman of the environmental media department at the society Abdulredha Al-Ramzi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday.
The participation aims to develop the society's media department through the recent information technology systems, said the Chairman. The society is also working on sharing experience with other GCC countries to expand its database system.
Moreover, he stressed that the society plans on expanding and developing its environment awareness programs by using the best computer systems, while also providing better services to campaigns organized all year long, which will see the participation of big numbers of students and researchers.
The media center also participates in different workshops and discussion groups, enabling it to develop its environmental documentary movies, to be broadcast on Kuwait TV channels and smartphones.
