In remarks to KUNA, al-Awash said Kuwait's winning four prizes for excellent broadcasting works is a testimony to the esteem Arab broadcasters give to Kuwaiti TV and Radio programs. Egyptian Information Minister Salah Abdul Maqsoud has stressed the key importance of exchange of news and expermintal programs between the Arab countries. Addressing the 88th session of the executive council of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), he said "We people of thought and opinion bear the major burden before politicians to call for unity of the Arab nations. "Thus we have to give more attention to issues close to our hearts such as the Palestinian cause and the issue of the holy places in Palestine which have not been given due attension by the Arab media." During today's meetings, the participants got acquainted with the modus operandi in all ASBU-affiliated committess. The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), founded in 1969, is an Arab joint-action institution related to the League of Arab States and the Pan-Arab Association of Public Service and Commercial Broadcasters based in Tunis.
