Board Chairman and Director General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah on Tuesday received Egypt's media office director in Kuwait Mohammad Fawzi whose term has come to an end.
During the meeting, Fawzi commended KUNA's role for cementing historical ties between the two countries and peoples.
He also highlighted cooperation between the Egyptian media office and KUNA, saying the agency officials have always been keen on offering all forms of support and facilities.
For his part, Sheikh Mubarak lauded the role by the Egyptian media backing Arab causes as well as disseminating culture and awareness in the Arab World.
KUNA is keen on fostering cooperation with Egyptian media institutions to realize mutual interests and develop the Arab media, especially through exchanging ideas, news and expertise, Sheikh Mubarak added.
He noted that KUNA has cooperation agreements with several media institutions in Egypt, especially the Middle East News Agency (MENA) and the State Information Service (SIS) for promoting the Arab media discourse.
